spice girls!

spice girls have been such an important part of my childhood *wipes tear away*. ok, pre-teen-hood, to be exact. around nearly 10 years ago i think. spice girls were so much fun! what, i'm a 90's kid la. they were the very first group i liked okayyy.

... my top two favourites when i was in standard 6 were the spice girls and 911. -_-" oh and ah niu. wahaha.

*reminisces*

so anyway, here's the spice girls' comeback song and video.

headlines (friendship never ends)

sigh. back then spice girls were so cute... remember how last time the girls had their own little nicknames and dressing styles and whatnots... baby sporty ginger posh scary. well obviously they had to change la in the course of 10 years. but... a bit lacklustre, the spice girls now. not to say i didn't anticipate a more boring serious version of them la (which were already apparent when they released "holler" and "let love lead the way").

headlines is just mediocre and forgettable, well, pleasant at most. and the video. what's it with all the skin bearing and awkward posings very nice clothes (with the exception of good ol' mel c and emma bunton)? i mean, hot abs and big boobs aside, i see some rather uncomfortable squirming, when the song is about friendship leh.

their very first single, wannabe. zigazig ah!

look at them. so freaking fun and cute last time. kinda miss those girls the way they used to be. gurrrrrrl powerrrrr!

THE spice girls. last time.

stop. because it's my favourite spice girls song.

stop right now, thank you very much~

*cough*

convo between me and sis :-

me: hey so have you watched the latest spice girls' video?

sis: yep, heard the song before watching the video.

me: so what do you think?

sis: sucks. and they call that their comeback song.

and that, my friends, just about sums it all up.

9 tortoises in a row!:

at least they sound better than spice women. spice women sound as if they are gardeners instead. HAHA...

i do like some of the spice girls' songs. just it gets too pop-sy after a while. no?

sherry said...

chajjye: hahahaa, gardeners! and yes, spice girls are obviously very pop la haiyo. and so's bsb. i still like pop, even though it's not exactly my top favourite music genre anymore. heh.

Hey! U know, I can actually remember the Stop video very well. Must have been my favourite as well. Not that I'm a Spice Girls fan. Perish forbid. But you know, if I had to choose one song.
I didn't realize that Mel C's the one with quite powerful vocals. N Posh can't seem to sing, only knowing how to pose.

Ah! What a different era that was. When everything was so innocent. Now everything is trashy and soft-porn-ish. What has the world become? This is why we thank the Lord for indie music! Hurrah!

step: aha! u liked the spice girls too! i'm shall reveal the spice fan in everyone! heh kidding. anyway, u're right bout mel c and posh. and u really can see the diff in the music vids =( headlines is just so... weird la. twisting their bodies this way and that.

and yeah, i'm glad i discovered indie music =) and there's twee pop, yay!
